On
October 27, 2001 Sam Maloof visited the College of Architecture on an east
coast lecture tour. In the morning he sat in on a critique of the furniture
class's work. That afternoon he spent with myself and another student.
The photographs
show my demonstration of the making of the conical hole. We talked
extensively about the design of the tables and the choices of joinery.
It was a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with such and inspiring
individual. His knowledge and technique are a great part of my personal development.
