Weekend Visit to Charlotte

We got a chance this past weekend to send the girls to Winston and head down to Charlotte. Two of my sisters live down there and invited us for a visit. Chris drove down Friday morning in a rental to work a job fair at UNCC-School of Architecture. I drove down later Friday afternoon. We had a great evening filled with fajitas and Sattergories. I have now decided that I cannot play that game anymore. The subjective judging drives me crazy...as crazy as some of the answers given.

It was a beautiful day on Saturday so we played Cornhole together and then split wives/husbands. The men went and played Frisbee golf and my sisters and I went to UNCC to see what they have done with the campus since we left. It was great to reminisce. We had dinner at Lupies Cafe, mmmm. Chris and I had greasy burgers that were so delicious. Then we played Taboo and Settlers of Catan until very late.

We enjoyed visiting Abby and Patrick's church on Sunday. They each gave their testimony in Sunday school. I was moved by it as well as the music and message. We had a relaxing lunch before heading back on the road to pick the girls up in Winston. It was so nice to be able to spend some time with my sisters without having to juggle the girls. Next time we'll take them with us by request of their Uncle Patrick.

Thanks to Mimi and Papa for allowing us to get away and for delighting in keeping their grand kids for a weekend.
