I was blessed to be able to be able to attend the ladies beach retreat this year entitled "Being a Biblical Woman in a Modern World". Author Carolyn McCulley ("Radical Womanhood") came and spoke to us about the history of women's roles and reputation in light of feminist movement. It was a refreshing change from the typical emotional hype some retreats can produce. It was great to hear the origin of a lot of the lies and pressures I feel as a stay at home mom and a wife who submits. I would certainly recommend her book. I was also able to make stronger connections with ladies I have only known in passing on Sundays and to reconnect with some who have lost touch. Many thanks to Michelle and Nana for their phenomenal hard work to pull it off.

Now it's life as usual. I'm finding it difficult to bring my mind back to the worlds of a toddler & preschooler. It's getting better.
