Not too much went on around here for the ol' 4th of July. We attended a triple surprise party cookout for some friends of ours. Chris made 2 loaves of rosemary bread for picnic sandwiches. They were a big hit. Several of us got together after eating to play a game of Bocci ball. We found it was quite difficult with 2 tired children. I was holding Addie with one arm and throwing with the other. After about 5 rounds we called it quits.
Our evening was extremely uneventful. Chris came up from the shop around 8:30p as it was beginning to thunder and I was sitting on my bed reading. "We have to do something for the 4th before the rain starts". We grabbed our little sparklers and stood on the front porch just the 2 of us (the girls were in bed). We made some light art. That was our day.

Then we threw a big house party on the 5th for a cookout. It started raining just as the burgers were coming off the grill. It was a great time of food and Catch Phrase. Not to mention, the kids were in great moods.
